Laurell was born in Vancouver on April 20, 1979. As a lyrically confident poet,
she earned her merits first and foremost as a songwriter and composer for
various Eurovision Song Contest entries. After her first tracks for the British
artists Holly Brewer ("I Wish I Loved You More") and Olivia Garcia ("Freedom
Hearts") in 2017, which at least reached the preliminary rounds of the
internationally coveted music competition, the song "Stones" (2018) for the
Swiss indie band ZiBBZ is the first song from Laurell's pen to take part in the
