Layanah
An Anglo-Mauritian born in Paris, Layanah has always been immersed in dance and
music. Spotted by Axel Tony's producer, Layanah released the song "Mon étoile"
in 2011. Quickly embraced by audiences and radio stations, Layanah made a name
for herself in France, the Caribbean and as far afield as Africa. She opted for
zouk-tinged R&B for "Je t'aime trop" in 2012, the video for which racked up
nearly two million views. The more romantic "Le Meilleur" received extensive
radio airplay in spring 2013.
