Jazz saxophonist and composer Lennart Åberg was born in Helsingborg, Sweden on
February 26, 1942. As a young boy, he first played the accordion before he
eventually switched to saxophone. In 1960, he played in Kurt Järnberg's quintet
before moving to Uppsala to study at the university. There, he became involved
with several groups including a quintet he formed with trumpeter Bosse Broberg.
One of the original members of the Radio Jazz group, Lennart Åberg also played
