Born on 31 July 1995, Symere Woods, who goes by the name Lil Uzi Vert, is an
American rapper who began rapping and making mixtapes in his hometown of
Philadelphia as a teenager. In 2018, he received a Grammy Award nomination for
Best New Artist. Noted for his rapid delivery, he released EP Purple Thoughtz
Vol. 1 in 2014 followed by mixtape The Real Uzi and collaborated on tracks with
artists such as Carnage, Lil Durk, Dec Loaf, Fall Out Boys and Wiz Khalifa. He
