Los Rodriguez was a multi-national rock band that formed in 1991 in Madrid, Spain. Argentine frontman Ariel Rot and Spanish guitarist Julián Infante previously performed together in the group Tequila, whose 1979 album Rock and Roll was one of Spain's first commercially successful rock records. Meanwhile, Andrés Calamaro built a fanbase throughout the 1980s, first as a member of Los Abuelos de la Nada (many of whose signature hits were written by the multi-instrumentalist) and later as a solo artist.
