Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, MacKenzie Porter is a country singer-songwriter, pianist, and actress. She grew up on a cattle and bison ranch playing the piano from the age of four and performing with a family band. Her brother, Kalan, would make his mark first as the winner of Canadian Idol in 2004. She began her entertainment career as an actor, starring in shows such as Dinosapien (2007), Wild Roses (2009) and R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour (2011, 2012).
