Mai Lan Chapiron, born in 1982, is the daughter of graphic designer Christian Chapiron, better known as Kiki Picasso. Her brother is film director Kim Chapiron, for whom she sang the sultry "Gentiment, je t'immole" for the soundtrack of the 2005 film Sheltan. She turned to folk for the track "Easy", followed by an album of the same name released the same year, 2012. After a more pop-oriented track entitled "Les Huîtres", Mai Lan turned resolutely towards electro, as remixes by Brodinski, Krazy Baldhead and Schumacher had already announced.
