Hawaiian-born singer and musician Mark Kealiʻi Hoʻomalu is best known for the
track "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride", included on the soundtrack to the animated
film Lilo and Stitch. Born in 'Aiea, Honolulu County, on August 10, 1959, he
began performing as a teenager with John Pi'ilani Watkins, covering traditional
Hawaiian songs in the O'ahu region. Settled in California since 1979, he teaches
hula dancing in San Francisco and took part in the Merrie Monarch Festival on
