Matt
Matthieu Gore, or Matt, or Matt Houston, or Matteo, launched male R&B on the
French scene. His 2001 album R&B 2 Rue was a real trigger for a genre then
scorned in French urban music. In 2004, Chant de Bataille made a lasting impact,
and two years later, Phoenix 2006 marked a setback and the start of a conflict
with his label. He made a comeback as an independent artist with Papa Est Back
(2011), followed by Libra (2015).
