Matthew Wilder
Matthew Wilder is an American musician, singer and producer who enjoyed a a
brief period of chart success as a solo artist when his single 'Break My Stride'
made it into the top five in the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK charts.
He was born Matthew Weiner in New York in 1993 and started off his career in the
music business during the 1970s as one half of the duo Matthew & Peter. The duo
were part of the thriving Greenwich Village folk movement but despite releasing
an album titled 'Under the Arch' (1972) they failed to make an impact on the
wider US music scene.
