Originally from Fort-de-France in the French overseas department of Martinique,
zouk singer Maurane Voyer is the daughter of Gilles Voyer and Danielle
René-Corail, members of the group Taxi Kréol. Trained as a singer from an early
age, she began as a backing vocalist for artists such as Esy Kennenga and
Méthis, before building a career under her own name with the debut tracks "Haïti
pa pléré" or "Mizik" in 2012 and the local hit "Doudou" or "T'inquiète" in 2014.
