Born on April 9, 1895 in Geneva (Switzerland), and died on May 30, 1975 in Bry-sur-Marne (France), Michel Simon was a French actor and singer. He appeared in over 145 films and 150 plays between 1920 and 1975. He played his first stage role in 1920, in the play Les Ratés. He made his film debut in 1924, in La Galerie des Monstres .
