Founded in Glasgow, Scotland in 1970, Middle of the Road was a Europop band that
mined the same type of pop music that ABBA would eventually bring to charts
around the world in the mid-1970s. Formed by singer Sally Carr, drummer Ken
Andrew, guitarist Ian McCredie, and his brother bassist Eric McCredie, Middle of
the Road released their debut single "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" in 1970. The
