Gong Min-ji, known as Minzy, is a South Korean singer, rapper, and dancer born
on January 18, 1994, in Seoul. Minzy, the granddaughter of renowned folk dancer
Gong Ok-jin, was discovered for her dance talents at a young age. After a video
of her dancing went viral, YG Entertainment's CEO recruited her in sixth grade.
Minzy debuted in 2009 as the main dancer of the K-pop group 2NE1, alongside Park
Bom, Sandara Park, and CL. The group quickly rose to fame with their hit single
