Japanese pop singer Nami Tamaki was born on June 1, 1988, in Wakayama, Japan.
Her journey as a performer began in 1999 when she attended dance school. In
2001, at just thirteen years old, she auditioned for Sony Music Japan,
performing covers of songs by Destiny's Child and Core of Soul. Selected from
over a thousand applicants, Nami Tamaki debuted in 2003 with her single
"Believe," which became an opening song for the anime Mobile Suit Gundam Seed.
