A lover of retro soul and funk, Neal Francis established himself as a
songwriter, composer, pianist and performer after his band experience with The
Heard. Born in Livingston, New Jersey, on September 4, 1988, Neal Francis O'Hara
grew up in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park, where he learned to play the piano at
an early age and immersed himself in New Orleans blues and soul, listening to
artists such as Allen Toussaint, The Meters, Dr. John and Curtis Mayfield.
