An eclectic guitarist of Vietnamese origin, Nguyên Lê (born in Paris, France, on
January 14, 1959) is a fan of musical combinations at the crossroads of jazz,
rock and traditional music, particularly Asian. Founder of the group Ultramarine
in 1983 and accompanist in jazz and chanson, he joined the Orchestre National de
Jazz (1987-1989) before embarking on a solo career rich in collaborations. His
career, tinged with jazz fusion in trio or quartet, is gradually enriched by his
