Of Montreal has been writing luminous psychedelic songs since its inception in
1997. Heading the band is Kevin Barnes, who imposes his vision and fleshes out
the majority of the Athens, Georgia-based group's tracks. From the initial lo-fi
framework, the compositions have gradually become more unbridled, and the band
has brilliantly integrated the hottest funk and the most festive disco. In 2008,
Of Montreal emerged from the underground with the album Skeletal Lamping,
