Passion Pit
The brainchild of Michael Angelakos, Passion Pit is a hugely ambitious outfit
that blends electro music and computer technology with good tunes, pop
sensibility and serious lyrics. Taking the name of a slang term for drive-in
theatres, Angelakos dreamed up Passion Pit as a solo project in his dorm room
while a student at Boston's Emerson College in 2007, writing the songs that
ended up on his 2008 debut EP Chunk Of Change as a present for his girlfriend.
One of the tracks, Sleepyhead was used in various advertisements, paving the way
for Passion Pit's debut album Manners in 2009 ...
