Perrine Fifadji
French-Beninese Perrine Fifadji was born in the Congo. Settling in Gironde, she
first recorded two ska and rock albums with the Bordeaux collective Aspo. Signed
by the Daqui label, Perrine Fifadji turned her song-and-dance show Awadkpèkpè
into an album of the same name. Awadkpèkpè was released in April 2011, and
features an African song that is open to the world, with interventions from
instruments such as the sitar and Tibetan bowls.
