Planet Soul
The American electro duo Planet Soul originated in Miami, Florida in the
mid-1990s. Specializing in the prominent house dance scene of the time, producer
George Acosta and singer Nadine Renee enjoyed a breakout hit with 1995’s “Set U
Free”, a top 5 dance single that climbed to number 26 on the pop chart. That set
the stage for the release of their debut LP, 1996’s Energy and Harmony on the
Strictly Rhythm label. The album would never get higher than 165. Their
