Pompis, whose real name is Kevin Port-Lis, is a Martinican artist born in 1984
in Fort-de-France to a Guadeloupean father and a mixed-race African mother, and
has lived between Martinique and French Guiana. He has established himself as a
major dancehall figure, while exploring reggae and hip-hop, genres that reflect
his Caribbean roots. In 2012, Pompis embarked on a solo career, which he
