Roger Kynard Erickson, professionally known as Roky Erickson, was an American
singer-songwriter who found fame in the 1960s with psychedelic rock band The
13th Floor Elevators. They released their debut album 'The Psychedelic Sounds of
the 13th Floor Elevators', which contained the hit single 'You're Gonna Miss
Me', in 1966. They released two more studio albums, 'Easter Everywhere' (1967)
and 'Bull of the Woods' (1969), before Erickson was hospitalised in 1968 and
diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.
