Saan, whose real name is Nassim, was born in Chartres and grew up in a world
where art played an essential role. Cradled by his father's Arab lute, he
learned to play the guitar at the age of 6, then the piano at 15. Fascinated by
music, he became self-taught and turned his student apartment in Tours into a
recording studio, attracting local rappers and developing his skills. He formed
a rap group and performed on various stages (Le Temps Machine, Les Inouïs,
