Hailing from Tulsa, Oklahoma, the alternative rock band SafetySuit formed in
2002 under the original name "Crew." Vocalist/guitarist Doug Brown, bassist
Jeremy Henshaw, and drummer Tate Cunningham had met while attending Oral Roberts
University, and they relocated the band to Nashville, Tennessee, following the
release of Crew's debut EP, Day After Yesterday, in 2003. Two additional EPs —
2003's Crew EP and 2006's Stay — were released under the Crew moniker before the
group adopted a new name, SafetySuit, and signed a major-label deal with
