Samuel Umberto Romano (March 7, 1972), known mononymously as Samuel, is an
Italian singer-songwriter who rose to prominence as the frontman for the
alternative rock band Subsonica in the mid-90s. Hailing from Turin, Samuel began
performing with the Hisonz Street band and then joined Amici di Roland, where he
met keyboardist Boosta. After a brief stint in the group, Samuel and Boosta
teamed up with Guitarist Max Casacci, drummer Ninja, and bass player Pierfunk,
