Shabir
The first Tamil artist to receive the Singapore Youth Award, Shabir won the
first season of Vasantham Star in 2005, kickstarting his diverse career as a
solo artist, playback singer, and composer. He was born as "Shabir Tabare Alam"
in Singapore on February 28, 1985, and raised in a creative family with two
artistic siblings: actor Elias Mikhail and filmmaker Abbas Akbar. Shabir began
composing songs at 12 years old and eventually became an accomplished
instrumentalist, too, trained in the Hindustani method on both violin and
