The granddaughter of Michael Jackson's hairstylist, Sky Ferreira grew up as a
friend of the superstar in Los Angeles and, inspired by him, started putting her
own homemade recordings up on MySpace. Spotted on the social networking site by
Swedish producers Bloodshy & Avant (famed for their work on Britney Spears' hit
Toxic), the then 14-year-old dropped out of school, signed a deal with
Parlophone, acted in hip indie film Putty Hill and started modelling for Calvin
Klein and Yves Saint Lauren. Thought of as a clean-cut, teen idol in the making
by the record label, she instead ear...
