Born on October 4, 1954, in Montreal, Canada, Stephen Faulkner, also known as
Cassonade, is a Quebec folk singer. He began his career in 1973, accompanying
Plume Latraverse during her shows, then contributing to her album Plume Pou
Digne the following year. In 1975, he recorded Pommes de Route with Plume, on
which several of his songs became Quebec classics, including " Jonquière ", " La
Bienséance " and " U.F.O .". In 1978, he released his first solo album,
Cassonade , and scored his first hit with " Si j'avais un char ". In 1980, he
