Stephy Tang Lai-yan, born on October 15, 1983, is a renowned Hong Kong singer
and actress with Hakka heritage from Dongguan. She initially gained fame as the
leader of the Cantopop group Cookies before embarking on a successful solo
career. Her solo albums, like the jazz-influenced Coloring Stephy, received
critical acclaim and commercial success, with multiple hits leading to awards
including a Jade Solid Gold Award for Best Duet in 2006. Tang's acting prowess
was recognized with a Best Actress award from the Hong Kong Film Critics Society
in 2017 for her role in The Empty Hands...
