R&B and pop singer/songwriter Sybil – born on December 9, 1966, in Peterson, New
Jersey – is best known for a string of hits and albums in the late 1980s and
early 1990s. She signed with the then-popular Next Plateau Records in 1986 and
quickly released her debut single “Falling in Love”, which reached Number 29 on
Billboard’s R&B Singles chart. Her debut album, Let Yourself Go, was released in
1987 and charted in the Top 100 in the UK. The title track reached the Top 50 on
