Katina and Volkova first met as members of childrens' music company Neposedi
before auditioning for t.A.T.u, in 1998. The band was the brainchild of TV ad
producer Ivan Shapovalov and was signed up to Universal Music Russia in May
2001. Taken from their debut album 200Km/h In The Wrong Lane, their first single
I've Lost My Mind was released in English as All The Things She Said in 2002.
The lesbian-themed tune became the first single by a Russian band to reach
Number 1 in the UK charts and grossed sales of more than 2 million copies
