Multi-award-winning contemporary gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard was born in
Jesup, Georgia, on July 7, 1981. Born Natasha Tameika Cobbs, she followed in her
parents' footsteps by becoming a pastor in her own right. She began her musical
career in 2010 with the independent album Smile, which attracted the attention
of the EMI Gospel label, which later became Motown Gospel. In 2013, the album
Grace reached No. 2, then No. 1 on the gospel charts and No. 61 on the Billboard
