Teenage Fanclub
Inspired by the classic Glasgow label Postcard Records, who released bands such
as Orange Juice, Aztec Camera, and Josef K, Teenage Fanclub crafted indie rock
from bubblegum pop hooks and dreamy 1960s melodies. As the C86 scene helped to
re-launch jangly, British guitar groups, the band members came together in 1986
from short-lived former groups Boy Hairdressers and BMX Bandits to earn a
contract with Creation Records and release debut album A Catholic Education
