Although they hail from Glasgow, Scotland, the rock band The Fratellis had a
sound steeped in raucous British rock. The trio consisted of bassist Barry
Fratelli, singer and guitarist Jon Fratelli, and drummer Mince Fratelli, and
they took their stage names from the antagonists of the kids film The Goonies.
The indie-minded group played a fast style of rock inspired by glam and punk.
They began performing in 2005 and in just over a year issued their self-titled
debut EP, scoring their chart hit with “Henrietta”, which went to Number 6 in
