Latin R&B / funk / soul group Tierra was formed in Los Angeles, California in
1972. The group was founded by Rudy Salas and his younger brother Steve Salas,
both former members of Latino rock band El Chicano. After the release of their
first two albums – Tierra (1973) and Stranded (1980) - Tierra found commercial
success with their 1980 album City Nights. This third album included the hit
single "Together” - a remake of The Intruders' 1967 classic - which reached #18
