Maurice Samuel Young, born September 27, 1974, in Miami, Florida, rose to fame
as Trick Daddy, a prominent rapper. Growing up in Liberty City’s "Pork-N-Beans"
housing complex, he faced a turbulent youth, including drug-related arrests and
a prison stint. After his release, Ted Lucas of Slip-n-Slide Records encouraged
him to pursue music.
