Truck Stop is a country band from Germany founded in 1973. The band enjoyed
great success with German-language country music, particularly in the 1970s.
Truck Stop celebrated their breakthrough in 1978 with the single "Ich möcht' so
gern Dave Dudley hör'n" from the album Zuhause (1977). The longplayer sells over
150,000 copies and the song climbs to number 20 in the German charts. In 1979,
Truck Stop released another top hit with "Take It Easy, altes Haus", which
reached number 32 in Germany. The year 1980 also brought another hit for Truck
Stop. The song "Der wilde, wilde Westen...
