Wet Wet Wet
Formed while still at Clydebank High School, the four members of of the band
originally went by the name of Vortex Motion before settling on Wet Wet Wet,
taken from Scritti Politti song Getting, Havin and Holdin. The band's early
sound was a blend of all the influences on each member, helped by rehearsals in
Graeme Clark's mother's kitchen. They scored a record deal with PolyGram in 1985
and released their debut single Wishing I Was Lucky two years later, which broke
into the UK top 10. The group's debut album Popped In Souled Out went on to be a
