Winston McAnuff came very close to being unjustly forgotten. He began his career
in Jamaica with his childhood friend Earl Sixteen. Despite recording What a Man
a Deal With in 1978, his career didn't take off. Reduced to eking out a living,
he was discovered by the French label Makasound. What a Man a Deal With,
reissued in 2004, attracted the attention of reggae aficionados. An open-minded
artist, he recorded A Drop in 2005, an original and successful fusion of electro
