X-Man, whose real name is Edmond-Mariette Xavier, is a French dancehall singer
born on November 9, 1984 in Fort-de-France, Martinique. He grew up in the
Trénelle and Terres-Sainville neighborhoods, and decided to turn the
difficulties he encountered in his environment into music. He started out in
various sound systems and at various local festivals on the island of
Martinique. In 2003, X-Man began his real musical career as part of the RFX
