Legendary Turkish singer Yavuz Bingöl was born on October 7, 1964, in the city
of Istanbul. He was raised by his father, a literature teacher, and his mother,
the famous folk poet Şahsenem Akkaş. Despite enrolling at the Ankara State
Conservatory in 1977, he was forced to drop out of his academic pursuit in order
to support his family following his parent's divorce. It wasn't until 1983 that
