Young the Giant
Young the Giant are a Californian indie band who formed in 2004, originally
known as The Jakes, the name being an acronym of the band's first names. When
they formed the band were still studying at various schools and due to problems
co-ordinating diaries around their studying commitments some members of the band
found it hard to juggle their school lives with their aspirations to become
professional musicians. This led to some personnel changes until finally in 2009
the band settled into their current line-up and changed the name to Young the
Giant.
