Somewhere there's a drowning girl with nobody to save her
Fathers hair, her mothers eyes
It's she, her parents favor
They think they'll see her later
Drowning in the fear and stress her family filled her life with
Be popular and ace your tests or you can consider your life missed
Not quite the life which she wished
They want what's best, so they say
If they had a clue it would turn out this way
Things would have been different from the start
They never would have pushed their little girl so hard
Words in her head, things she never said
Cries and lies thinking she's better off dead
But when it comes true and there's nothing she can do
She starts to regret all the things she never said
Her parents have two other kids one just got into college
He worked his ass off, he's proud of himself
But they still can't acknowledge
He wants them to pay homage
The final child's an invisible girl who plays within the shadows
She's got big shoes to fill 'cause of her sister
She usually walks on tip toes
Families fall apart when tragedy strikes
They can't stand each other now all they do is fight
The father sneaks out he's having an affair
The mother stays home drowning in her own despair
How did they get here? where did they fall?
Was their perfect child not so perfect after all?
Was it their fault? what had they done?
If they don't change will they lose another one?
Please release (listen to) me
Please release (listen to (notice)) me
Please listen to (notice) me
Please listen to (notice) me
Please listen to (notice) me
She was the only one who would listen to him
She was the only one who'd notice her there
Lived a lie just to make them smile
Is it a grim tale or a very bad dream
This unveiling of a ghostly scene
But five souls died that day
