The Italian singer Irene Grandi rose to prominence in the mid-1990s when her
second album 'In vacanza da una vita' was released in 1995 and produced hits
such as 'Bum Bum', 'Dolcissimo amore' as well as the album's title track.
A string of successful albums followed and the singer was rarely out of the
Italian charts for almost a decade. Capitalising on her singing success she
accepted two acting roles, the first as the character Angel in the 1996 film 'Il
barbiere di Rio' and then as Giulia in 'L'apetta Giulia' in 2003.
